About CESR

The Central Eurasian Studies Review (CESR) is a scholarly review of research, resources, conferences, events, publications and developments in scholarship and teaching on Central Eurasia. It is a publication of the Central Eurasian Studies Society (CESS), a North America-based membership organization which seeks to promote communication and high standards of scholarship among scholars in this field worldwide. The review is a product of the volunteer contributions of the members of CESS, and in particular, the CESR Editorial Staff. CESR is distributed via the web and to members of CESS free of charge. It is also available to institutions by subscription (see webpages on Subscription to CESR).

The Central Eurasian Studies Review publishes two issues per year, in the Spring and Fall. The deadlines for submission are March 1 and October 1.

As of Volume 7 (2008) the Central Eurasian Studies Review consists of four sections:

Please click on each link for a description of each of these sections, as well as information on how to contact each Section Editor. In addition to articles for the three sections, CESR also encourages submission to the Chief Editor of "Letters to the Editors." If you have general questions, please contact the Chief Editor at vmartin2@wisc.edu.
